When you donate to Hands Across the Sea through this page you’ll not only be automatically entered in our Grand Prize sweepstakes, you’ll be helping Hands provide much-needed books and literacy tools to children throughout the Caribbean. ASA will match all donations of $30 or more, up to a total of $1,000, in honor of its 30th anniversary year.
In addition to our Grand Prize winner, five entrants will win high-quality posters of the movie All Is Lost featuring Robert Redford and signed by director J.C. Chandor. The top three supporters (by amount of donation) will be given a beautiful marine-themed, gallery-quality handmade platter from Salt Marsh Pottery as a token of our appreciation.

$1,000 CALYPSO KING - Selection of 65 durable (library binding) hardcover non-fiction books for a primary school (grades K to 6, ages 5 to12) or secondary school (grades 7 to 11, ages 13 to 17). These books are packed with up-to-date information that educates, informs, and opens the door to a wider world.
$2,500 TRADE WINDS - Refurbish the existing library of a primary school or secondary school, from new paint to shelves and floor tiles to 400 great new books, and help turn it into a vibrant borrowing library that serves students, teachers, and the local community.
